Blight and tax delinquency are both issues that municipalities in Pennsylvania currently face and both are issues that can be addressed using the tax sale foreclosure process. The tax sale foreclosure process does not just give cities a way to collect delinquent property taxes and to put property in to the hands of taxpayers who will continue to pay taxes in the future; the tax sale foreclosure process can also be a way for municipalities to take back abandoned properties and reduce blight.
